libfont-freetype-perl software package provides module to read font files and render glyphs from Perl using FreeType2, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfont-freetype-perl
libfont-freetype-perl is installed in your system.
